What Are Some Good German Shepherd Names (Male and Female)?
As you all may or may not know I’m gonna’ get a German Shepherd I haven’t decided wether it will be male or female so I’m hoping you can help me decide and some names that aren’t embarrassing like “Snugelly Wuggelly” cuz I’m a dude :p

Personally I like giving my dogs names that have meaning. I spend a few hours watching the dog to see their personality or choose some aspect of personality I want to bring forth in my new friend.
I like getting or looking up baby names, these list where the name originates and the meaning behind the name. I named one dog Lexi because it means helpful and sparkling and I planned on training her as my service dog and wanted her to become helpful. One was Naomi (means sweet) because she had the sweetest face, and as I began to know her found out how truly sweet she was! Another dog I had at the same time as Naomi was named Ruth, this way I could tell the bible story of Ruth’s devotion to Naomi.
This gives you more to talk about when someone asks you the name of your dog. Although naming your dog Fido is fine, knowing that it comes from the word fidelity provides more of a conversation… Unless you don’t want to talk to people about your dog (this is vary rare).
Try to remember that fame is fleeting. If you name your dog for some current tv star or show, their popularity may only last one season or less if they get canceled. You could be trying to tell people about how you named your dog after someone/something that no one has ever heard of.
You did ask for specific names, but also opinions. Remember that you will need to call out their name in public so make it easy for the dog to understand, not embarrassing to you when you use the name, and not offensive to others. Hopefully the name will stay with your dog their entire life, so choose wisely and have fun with your choice!

We just got a new puppy, and my dad is being really picky about the names. My family has offered many names and he hasn’t decided yet. He likes the name Cooper, but i know there is more names out there. Help??
